The Old U.K. Republic

The abandoned island

The Old U.K. Republic lies far across the western sea, a fractured remnant of a once-unified nation. Twenty years ago, it was cut off from the Eurussian mainland after a series of political collapses, border conflicts, and mass territorial withdrawals. With no stable government and no recognised authority, the region splintered into isolated zones—scattered townships, fortified enclaves, and abandoned cities swallowed by weather and time.

Today, the Old U.K. Republic stands as a harsh frontier land. Its coastline is dotted with wrecked harbours and derelict ports, while inland regions are overgrown, depopulated, or reoccupied by small surviving groups. Travel across the territory is notoriously dangerous; navigation relies on old roads broken by erosion, scattered ruins, and areas left untouched for decades.

Despite its collapse, the region still holds fragments of its former identity—crumbling industrial sites, remnants of old infrastructure, and secluded settlements that have endured the isolation. Those who attempt the crossing toward Eurussia speak of a landscape both haunting and formidable, shaped by twenty years of abandonment.

Whatever the Old U.K. Republic once was, it is now a place of silence, mystery, and forgotten history—its fate known only to those who have braved its ruins and lived to return.

Central london

Once the heart of the U.K. Republic, Central London now stands in ruin—silent streets, empty towers, and the remnants of a world long gone. Weathered graffiti and shattered landmarks mark the passage of time, while a heavy stillness clings to every alley. Few dare to walk its streets; those who do move quietly through.

Patrollers Camp

A makeshift forest outpost used by roaming Patrollers to watch the roads and track movement through the countryside. Hidden beneath collapsed structures and tarps, the camp offers warmth, weapons, and whispered vigilance in a land where every fire-lit shadow might conceal danger.

The Bowl

A vast underground settlement built deep beneath the old U.K. Republic. Its rusted walkways and stacked dwellings house a hidden community that survives far from the surface world. Quiet, self-contained, and steeped in secrecy, the Bowl remains one of the most isolated places in the saga.

Sam’s Cottage

A secluded stone cottage hidden in the quiet edges of the British countryside. Modest and isolated, it serves as a calm refuge for travellers passing through the ruined lands—its stillness offering brief safety, warmth, and a reminder of life before the fall.

The oil rig

An isolated offshore platform far from any recognised route, the Rig serves as a storm-beaten refuge for those cut off from the mainland. Its steel decks, endless noise, and volatile seas create a harsh world of their own, where survival depends on routine, vigilance, and the few who call it home.
